House sales are still going strong. A late start in the spring, mostly due to winter weather, could be correlated to more sales as we go into fall. Here are some interesting observations for September’s sales stats. C lick here for August’s report
- As could have predicted, from high amount of contracts in August , September sales were significantly higher than the previous 3 years.
- New contracts, in September, are still higher than the previous three years. This is a strong indicator that sales will be higher than usual in October.
- There continues to be a strong number of houses for sale. This could help keep the market hot later into the Winter than is customary.
- September’s sales almost closed the gap of year-to-date (YTD) sales when compared to last year. August’s YTD sales were behind by 33 in comparison to 2013. September’s YTD sales were behind by 6 in comparison to 2013.
